NGI's board has decided to establish Norges Geotekniske Institutt AS
The operational activities of Stiftelsen Norges Geotekniske Institutt (NGI), i.e. all our research and consultancy assignments, have as of 1 January 2024 been transferred to the newly established wholly owned subsidiary Norges Geotekniske Institutt AS.
The limited company is 100 percent owned by the foundation Stiftelsen Norges Geotekniske Institutt.
The transfer is mainly administrative and does not lead to substantive changes in the operations of NGI. Contracts and agreements have been passed on from Stiftelsen Norges Geotekniske Institutt to Norges Geotekniske Institutt AS.
The change has been made in close dialogue with the employees' representatives. NGI is still a research institute, and we will continue to receive public basic research funding.
We will continue to use NGI and the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute when we refer to and talk about our business.
