CICERO Joins Campus Ullevål
"We are very pleased that CICERO has chosen Campus Ullevål as its future location from June 2026. Their presence will strengthen the research environment in the building and contribute to increased knowledge sharing and collaboration in the fields of climate, environment, and societal security," says Lars Andresen, Managing Director at NGI.
NGI's Managing Director, Lars Andresen, together with the Director of Property and Market at Aspelin Ramm, Mona Aarebrot, and Kristin Halvorsen, Director at CICERO.
CICERO is an institute for interdisciplinary climate research. They have around 100 employees and are currently based in Forskningsparken.
Kristin Halvorsen, Director of CICERO, expresses satisfaction with the decision to move to Campus Ullevål as their future home: "For CICERO, it is of great value to be close to research and collaboration partners who are developing knowledge about climate and sustainability. We look forward to becoming part of Campus Ullevål and contributing to the development of a strong research environment addressing important societal challenges in climate, environment, energy, and sustainability," she says.
NIVA is also pleased that CICERO is moving into the main building we are constructing at Sognsveien 72: "We at NIVA are very pleased that CICERO chose to join NIVA and NGI at Campus Ullevål. With us now becoming neighbors again at Campus Ullevål, the conditions are set for NIVA, NGI, and CICERO to jointly emerge as a powerhouse for Norwegian environmental research," says NIVA's Managing Director Pål Molander.
Lars mentions that it has been a meticulous process to secure the right tenants. He states that from day one, they have been very focused on attracting tenants to Campus Ullevål who align with the focus on climate, environment, and societal security. CICERO is a perfect fit in that regard.
"We are already collaborating with CICERO, and the fact that we will be moving into the same building and living under the same roof from 2026 gives us even better conditions to make it happen," he says.
Lars adds that the work to find additional exciting tenants is in full swing. The construction is also progressing according to plan.
