The unstable mountainsides of Åknes and Hegguraksla in Møre and Romsdal in Western Norway poses a great risk due to possibility of sliding out into the fjord and thus initiating a tsunami. Experts at NGI and ICG have developed advanced analysis models and mechanisms of a potential landslide from the unstable mountain area at Åkneset. The movie shows the surface elevation for the inner part of the fjord system for a rockslide of 54 Mm3.
